Who Is Your DJ Teacher?

My name is Sophie Tott, but you might also know me as Tallulah Goodtimes (my DJ stage name). I have over two decades of experience as a successful international DJ and artist, and have performed on stages all around the world—including in Ibiza, Dubai, and Italy.

Music is my life, and I’ve achieved some pretty cool accomplishments during my career such as making my debut album, performing at venues like Pacha, Heaven and Ministry of Sound, working with brands such as Hed Kandi, Stella McCartney and Selfridges, and have shared stages with acts such as Paul Oakenfold and Erick Morillo.

I’ve spent decades honing my craft, and can’t wait to take you on your own journey with music, creative expression, and DJing.

1 What Are Group DJ Coaching Lessons?

Group DJ coaching lessons are interactive sessions where multiple participants learn and practice DJing skills together under the guidance of an experienced instructor. These sessions offer a collaborative learning environment and the opportunity to connect with fellow music enthusiasts and creative artists.

2 Who Are Group Coaching Lessons Suitable For?

Group coaching lessons are ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative setting and enjoy learning alongside others.

Whether you're a beginner eager to explore the world of DJing as a hobby or an experienced DJ looking to refine your professional skills, my group sessions provide a supportive and dynamic learning experience for the artist within.

3 How Many People Typically Participate In A Group Coaching Session?

Group sizes can vary based on demand and availability, but I aim to keep group sessions small enough to ensure personalised attention from your instructor while still fostering a sense of community among participants. The ideal size for my group sessions are between 6 - 8 people.

4 What Can I Expect From A Group Coaching Session?

During a group coaching session, you can expect interactive exercises, live demonstrations, and practical learning with professional DJ equipment. Your experienced instructor will guide you through various DJing techniques and provide constructive feedback to help you improve your skills.

5 What Topics Are Covered In Group Coaching Sessions?

Group coaching sessions cover a wide range of topics relevant to DJing, including beatmatching, mixing techniques, music selection, equipment operation, and performance skills. Sessions are tailored to accommodate participants' skill levels, interests, and goals.

6 Can I Interact With Other Participants During The Group Coaching Sessions?

Yes! Our group coaching sessions are designed to encourage interaction and collaboration among participants. You'll have the opportunity to connect with fellow DJs-in-training, share tips and experiences, and learn from each other's perspectives.

7 Do I Need To Have My Own DJ Equipment To Participate In Group Coaching Sessions?

No prior experience is required to enrol in these DJ classes. All you need is a passion for music and a desire to learn.

Owning DJ equipment is not a prerequisite for booking your classes, but you will need to buy a kit to practice during your DJ lessons.

I can provide guidance on selecting the right DJ equipment and software for your budget and skill level if necessary (during your first session).

You will also need a good webcam so that I can see you clearly, and we will also be screen-sharing our software (both software screen and sound) via Zoom. Therefore, you will need to connect the audio of your DJ mixer/controller to Zoom (but I can advise on the best way to do this if you’re unsure how to do it).

You can use your own tunes to practice during the classes, but I can also supply some of my own songs (free of charge) for you to practice mixing with if necessary.

8 How Do I Sign Up For A Group Coaching Session?

Signing up for a group coaching session is easy!

Simply visit my store here to book a group session or a block booking of sessions. Or, if you have any other questions, simply contact me here with any queries.

Once you've selected a session that fits your schedule, you can reserve your spot and get ready to embark on an exciting DJing journey with me!

9 Where Are The Group DJ Lessons Held?

Your private DJ coaching sessions are held online. So you will need a free Zoom account and a good stable internet connection for your classes. You will also need a good webcam so that I can see you clearly.

10 What If I Need To Reschedule Or Cancel My Session?

I understand that life can be unpredictable, so I offer flexibility when it comes to rescheduling or cancelling group coaching sessions. Just let me know as soon as possible, and I'll do my best to accommodate your request. Please note that cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session may be subject to a fee.
